Charity Nights

Music gigs, race nights and black-tie dinners are all great way to get people together to raise money for Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis. Follow these simple steps for a night to remember!

Get in touch! Set up your online fundraising page here! Once you’ve set it up, we’ll be in touch to send out all the materials you’ll need for your big night.  We can send you collection tins, buckets, banners and other materials if needed.

When and Where? Set a date and a venue to host your event. For example, you could use a pub, social club or a local community centre.

Plan. Decide what kind of event you’d like to host; karaoke, music gigs or discos are always popular. Make sure to book any entertainment you need early, and that the venue has the correct licence (a Public Entertainment Licence). If not, you will need to obtain one from your local authority.

Advertise. Spread the word about your event. You could advertise on your company’s intranet, in the local press and on social media. Decide on the number and the cost of tickets.

Organise volunteers. Ask people to help you with the organisation of the event, selling tickets and assistance on the night. The more volunteers you have to help, the easier it will be.

Fundraise. To boost donations, you could find other ways to fundraise on the night such as an auction or a raffle. Ask colleagues, family, and friends to donate unwanted items or services to use as the lots or prizes.

Gather materials. We can provide you with collection tins, buckets, banners and any other materials if needed.

Send us pictures! We love seeing pictures of our fundraiser’s events, we also love to share them on our social media channels to inspire others.

When you register your event, you can order all the materials you’ll need for your big day. We can send you collection tins, buckets, banners, and other materials if needed.
