Graham was diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis in 2018 and is a member of the Gloucester Support Group. Graham is an active supporter of APF, through numerous fundraising activities as well as volunteering his time to help and advise the charity on communications and engagement, from both a fundraiser and patient perspective.
Graham was Honorary Club President of Olveston Bowls Club during 2020 and selected APF as the Club’s charity of the year. Sadly, due to Covid, a lot of the Club’s fundraising plans couldn’t go ahead as originally planned. Despite this Graham worked really hard by involving family members and others to take part in some virtual events. His son, Chris, completed a virtual Sydney Marathon in 2020 and, along with funds raised during 2020, the donations to APF approaching £3,500.
More recently the Bowls Club President’s Day went ahead which raised over £700. Grahams daughter, Sally, along with Yate Hockey Club, also hosted a Fun Day in September. As a result of all the wonderful activities taking place alongside hockey, over £900 was donated to APF.
'Graham continues to be a highly engaged and involved supporter of APF. His commitment to raising awareness and fundraising for the charity over the last two years is both motivational and inspiring – thank you Graham.' The APF Fundraising Team
