You spoke and we listened! APF are thrilled to announce a brand new resource to help you find out about the latest research for people affected by pulmonary fibrosis in the UK.

Take a look at our new Study Finder.

People affected by PF tell us they are interested in research and want to know more, and researchers tell us they would like help making people aware of opportunities to take part!  The new Study Finder is a one stop shop for all visitors to see the variety of research in the UK. You may want to simply read about what is happening or consider whether you would like to take part. We encourage people to talk to their healthcare team about potential research opportunities.

Making sure nobody gets left behind.

The studies can be filtered to see those that are open or closed to recruitment, upcoming studies and studies that are closed and have results available. Not only that, there are filters according to broad location, diagnosis, the type of research study, travel requirements, and continuation of drugs, alongside a key word search tool.

The online study finder tool is clear, easy to use, and explains everything you need to know whether you understand the phases of clinical trials or not. I am just delighted with it all.

To find out more about the Study Finder, we have answered some of your questions here.

We have worked with people affected by pulmonary fibrosis, researchers, healthcare professionals and pharmaceutical companies from around the world to create our Study Finder. Thank you to everyone who has played a pivotal role in the creation of this resource.

The research landscape is evolving on a daily basis. Not a day, hour or minute goes by where there isn't a scientist around the world trying to find out more about the disease and ultimately stop pulmonary fibrosis.
