A meeting with an outside speaker: Emma Matthew

Emma Matthew, Lead Physiotherapist for Transplant and Cardiac Services, Royal Papworth Hospital will talk about ‘The importance of pulmonary rehabilitation and exercise for pre- and post-transplant patients.

Who is it for?

This group aims to provide a forum for anyone with PF who has had a transplant or is waiting to have one. We meet online and offer an opportunity to share experience, mutual support, and engage with interesting speakers.

Who runs the group?

The group is run by APF Trustee, Steve Jones (pictured below), who had a lung transplant for Pulmonary Fibrosis a few years ago and understands the many challenges facing anyone who is waiting for or recovering from a transplant, and family or friends supporting them, from the demanding preparations for surgery to ensuring a good recovery.
