Responding to the news that following her diagnosis of pulmonary fibrosis, Amy Price, mum to Katie, has had a lung transplant, the charity said:

“We want everyone who’s eligible for the precious gift of a lung transplant to have one.

“Over 70,000 people in the UK suffer from the terminal lung scarring disease pulmonary fibrosis.  Sadly, there are limited treatment options for this disease, the wait for a transplant can be up to two years and very few are eligible for a lung transplant.  We know this can be devastating.

“We are delighted that Amy has received this wonderful chance of life.

Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis(APF) supports anyone affected by this disease.
