Over the last 18 months, it has been difficult for local pulmonary fibrosis support groups in Wales to meet regularly. Because of this, the Welsh ILD Network and Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis have joined together to organise a new virtual Welsh Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group (Grŵp Cymorth Ffibrosis yr Ysgyfaint Cymru).
The support group will meet on zoom every two months until things get back to ‘normal’. Pulmonary fibrosis patients and carers, and ILD healthcare practitioners, from across Wales are warmly invited to attend.
The first meeting will be held on Thursday 23rd September from 2pm to 4pm.
The meeting will be facilitated by Julie Hocking (Wales ILD Network) and Steve Jones (APF) and will include a talk by Professor Ben Hope-Gill, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board - Pulmonary fibrosis and Covid 19, and plenty of time for Sharing of experiences among participants and planning of future meetings.
If you would like to attend, please contact Steve Jones at Action for Pulmonary Fibrosis by e-mail to steve@actionpf.org or text to 07887 854940. He will be pleased to send you joining instructions.
